He had recovered quickly from the procedure on his chest. As it turned out it had only been a flesh wound.
His face, however, was a different story. He heard them talking about a bilateral otoplasty but when he woke, he realised they had performed a full facial reassignment, including rhinoplasty, septoplasty, genioplasty and oculoplastics removing his eyelids, eye sockets and tear ducts.
And because he couldn’t he cry, he prayed for justice—silently though—because they had also removed his mouth.
